Development in areas such as the East Village and Westfield Shopping Centre has created more jobs and provided residents with more in the way of local shopping and entertainment too. Property prices locally have risen by 11.4 per cent annually bringing the average house price to £337,474, a figure substantially less than the London-wide average of £530,409 (Land Registry, February 2015). This provides investors with a great opportunity to buy in what can be considered a promising emerging market.
