1: Undertake external building inspections

External defects can quickly damage a property, especially in winter. Make sure you carefully check all outside walls, windows, doors and roof for damages and any signs of weakness. Replace any cracked tiles and inspect chimney pots if the property has them, fitting ventilated cowls to unused chimneys. 3: Keep an eye on insulation
